Ketchup

It's been a couple months. I've been busy. Did some photo stuff with Villon. Rainbow Fin Co. used a bunch of my surfing shots. Ohana Surf Shop used my photo in an ad in ESM. Fluid Surf Shop picked up a few Birdcages and Pat and I shaped a beauty thats going up for auction. The Villon crew had another Villon Olympic event, Corn Hole championship. I got 5th in the Pro Longboard at the Watermans Challenge. Lastly Villon came out with a sick new 5-panel.

New Shape

Pat just finished shaping this 7'2 Birdcage. Square nose Square tail. Concave deck. On colored foam. Can't wait to give it a slide once it's glassed.

Last week - The surf was good.

So, My dad is one of the coolest and most supportive people in my life. He is the one who showed me surfing, motorcycles, art(he was a jeweler) and so much more. Now that I live 8 hours away I appreciate him more than ever. Oh yeah, and he has awesome facial hair.

Thrift Shop

Mary and I went browsing the other day. There is a new thrift shop on Wickham Rd. in Melbourne. Found this sick Nikota 35mm. Only 3 bucks. Mary also rescued someones handmade pottery. She has a soft spot for those kind of things. She's awesome.

Ocean Minded

At surf expo in January, I spoke with Ocean Minded about a potential sponsorship. They were stoked, I was stoked. And only a few months later I got my first box of stuff - four pair of sandals and a pair of shoes. Thanks for the support.

We ride

Rode about 20 miles last night. Met up with a few friends at about the 10 mile mark and we cruised downtown Melbourne. Lots of fun. Stopped at Mustards Last Stand for a quick bite. Great place.

Documenting My Rides.

I ride a fixed gear, steal frame Panasonic. A few days a week I ride to work or just around town. It helps save money and trees. Plus it's good excursive. Heres my time from my ride to work a few days ago.

I'll post more of my adventures as they come along.

In the shaping bay

Pat and I will be hard at work this week putting the finishing touches on two new Baby Birds, which will be available for sale, and a Birdcage for my dad, Gary. The Baby Birds are 5'5 and 5'8 and the Birdcage is a 9'3. The Baby's are being shaped on colored foam and will feature a square nose a 4 fin set up with a standard box in the center, so the board has endless fin options. Helping a Friend

My good friend and owner of Villon Clothing, Mark Quavillon, is in the process of getting a board shaped by Pat Madden of Madden Surfboards. It's a 9'4 single fin. While Pat was in Nicaragua, Mark and I painted the board. Check it out.

Villon Blows Up Spanish House

Me and the boys took over Spanish House this weekend. We had two photographers on the beach and two jet ski's in the line up. The conditions weren't the greatest, but we still had fun.
