A little art

Besides writing and surfing, I'm also a mixed media painter. My work is mostly abstractions of the world around me. I do not use any brushes, only pallet knifes, rags and my fingers. I just completed 5 paintings for ArtWalk in Downtown Ft. Walton Beach, Fl. It happens the 3rd friday of every month and this month is the kick off for this year. Its free to the public. Basically a bunch of local artist post up outside of the businesses in the downtown district and display work. This will be the first time I show any work. Here are the 5 paintings I'll be showing.
This is them on the floor of my studio... aka my garage.
This is an abstraction of a flower. It's oil on canvas and its about a 10x10.
This is an abstraction of a rainbow. Its about 14x36. Its oil and spray paint on canvas.
This is an abstraction of a photograph I took. Its about 30x40 and it's oil and spray paint on canvas.
This is an abstraction of trees. Its oil and spray paint on canvas. 18x24.
This one is fire. Its oil and spray paint on canvas. 11x14.

A few fun ones

Last week we had some killer surf. It was in the waist to chest high range with either no wind or light off shores. Here are some pictures of the epicness. They were taken by John Russell with www.surfsmooth.com. I was riding my 9'0 single fin nose rider.
