NOLA

My wife and I recently took a trip to New Orleans. It was awesome. We partied on Bourbon Street, watched great musicians on Royal Street, and ate great food throughout the French Quarter. We even saw a homeless dude eating his own poop. Here are some pictures from the trip. All photos were taken and edited with an iPhone 4. Follow me on instagram @g_spencer
Coming into the city on I10
Awesome street musicians on Royal St.
Muffaletta!
One bar on Bourbon St. had the best music every night. It's called Sing Sing. Awesome blues bar!
This was at Tropical Isle. They are famous for coming up with the Hand Grenade.
The House of Blues in NOLA. We had lunch there, Mary had the Shrimp and Grits and I had Lobster Mac-N-Cheese. It was a great place with interesting artwork wall to wall.
It isn't NOLA without Red Beans and Rice.
The Old Coffee Pot. The most amazing breakfast, with waitresses who sing the blues while you eat. Look it up if you are ever in NOLA, you won't be disappointed.
These last three were taken inside the cemetery right outside the French Quarter. It's were the rape scene in Easy Rider was filmed. Also, Nicolas Cage has a tomb here, I guess for when he dies. This is also the cemetery were the Queen of VooDoo is buried. The last picture is the graffiti that marks her tomb. The XXX in VooDoo means good luck.

Seth on the log

As you know we write and surf for Soaked! Magazine. Have a look at a shot of Seth grabbing some nose time late last year.
And here is a shot of him for a few weeks ago. If you look close you can see the giant 9.75 skeg in front of him. We call this fin first, not fins first, since we ride single fins. haha.

Fivers

Me getting some nose time at the Okaloosa pier the other day. It was super fun, waist to chest high with light off shores. I was riding "Big Red." My Eastwinds 9'0, triple stringer, single fin, nose rider.
